Privacy Policy

SustifyHomes operates a marketplace connecting customers in Nigeria with verified eco-friendly product vendors and service providers. We act as the data controller for account and platform data described in this policy.

• Account data: name, email, phone number, password credentials and role.
• Property data: location, state, city, property type and ownership status.
• Service Provider data: business name, CAC number, address, certifications and bank details.
• Usage data: pages viewed, searches, quotes requested and device information.
• Payment data: escrow deposit amounts, transaction references, payout account details and refund records. Full card details are handled by our payment processor and never stored by us.

To verify identities and businesses, match customers with suitable vendors, process quotes and payments, provide support, prevent fraud and improve the platform. We do not sell personal data.

Contact details are shared with a service provider only after you fund the 20% escrow deposit for an awarded proposal. Payment, refund and payout information is shared with our payment processor to move funds, deduct the 10% platform commission and issue refunds. Dispute evidence is reviewed by our resolution team. We use vetted processors for hosting, payments, messaging and analytics under contractual confidentiality obligations.

Account data is retained while your account is active and for up to six years afterwards where required for tax, legal or dispute purposes. Escrow, commission, refund and invoice records are retained for six years to meet Nigerian financial record-keeping rules. Verification documents are retained for the duration of your service provider listing.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to certain processing. Contact privacy@sustifyhomes.africa to exercise these rights.

We use encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access controls, audit logging and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure; report concerns to security@sustifyhomes.africa.
